Early Freelander Spotted

While I was out and about at work yesterday I spotted this early, ‘R’ plate Freelander parked up, apart from the registration plate the other ‘give-away’ is the black painted door tops, this is a feature that is only found on the earliest Freelanders as it was soon phased out by Land Rover. It’s also quite unusual to see a white Freelander 1, a colour that is slowly growing on me incidentally, but the original wheels have been replaced at some stage with some later ‘Trek’ style alloys. Overall it looked to be in very good condition but I only managed a passing glance and just managed to grab a quick photograph with my phone, hence the poor quality picture.

I shall now go and remove my anorak…
