The Snow Peak Double Walled Titanium Mug

If you’re a regular reader here one thing will probably be all too apparent, we like our tea at GLR towers! I can’t think of any trips we’ve done, be that shows, camping, greenlaning or just out for a drive where at some stage during the trip we haven’t pulled over and dragged the ‘brew box’ out of the boot… Read more »

Dambusters’ 70th Anniversary Flypast

Here at GLR towers we love aircraft! When the chance to see the BBMF Spitfire & Lancaster at Derwent reservoir presented itself, we couldn’t resist! The occasion was the 70th anniversary of ‘Operation Chastise‘. As usual we spent quite a while planning (dithering) on how we would mount our campaign. An early start was in order so we decided such a… Read more »

Honister Slate Mine’s Orange Defender

Our trip to the Lakes was not totally Land Rover free, we took the Honister slate mine tour whilst we were there (well worth a look if you ever get the chance) and there were several Land Rovers in evidence, the two most striking one’s being the orange liveried Honister 110’s. http://www.honister-slate-mine.co.uk/

Down time

You may have noticed that it’s been a bit quiet on here of late, that’s because team GLR and friends have been on a jolly to the Lake District. Now, at this point I’d like to post up some photographs of our Land Rovers out enjoying the greenlanes and staggering vistas on offer in the Lakes, however, the main focus… Read more »

Land Rover Heritage Run application date extended

Just called the Heritage Motor Centre to chase up the official GLR contingent application. We applied online last month but haven’t heard anything to date. Apparently the application date has been extended to 11 April. They will start notifying people after this date. The Freelander will be representing GLR this year so need to set about making it nice and… Read more »
