For sometime now one of the key fobs for the Freelander 2 has had problems opening and closing the vehicle. It was fairly hit and mis and the fob would only work within about 3m of the vehicle. Did some searching around the net and found several articles on replacing the battery: – LR2 Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions on… Read more »
Some time ago I bought an ashtray (LR005248) to fit in the GLR Freelander 2. This was just to hold odds and ends. However it’s been taking up one of the cup holder locations which causes a problem for GLR staff when visiting their favourite drive through. I’ve seen the ash tray/oddments holder that fits in the rear of the… Read more »
Another year another MOT… As usual Terry from Ultimate 4×4 (previously Ultimate Land Rover) collected the GLR Freelander and returned it with a shiny new MOT certificate. No advisories!
I’ve wanted a power socket in the boot since I’ve owned my current Freelander. I’ve had one in all the previous Freelanders I’ve owned. I generally use them for powering my coolbox but have used it for powering a small compressor for pumping up tyres. Not long after I bought the current Freelander, I had to take it in for… Read more »

Land Rover has released the new Discovery Sport. The full story can be found on their website and a there is good write up by Auto Express. It seems Land Rover are moving further from their brand origins and… Read more »

Top service and highly recommended! I’m still torn as to whether to sell the Freelander and get a small car for… Read more »

Yesterday, Ian and I made a trip to see a friend in Telford. All three of us went to Wales for the day and a jolly good time was had by all. Got back home about 9:30pm last night, parked the Freelander and then went inside. As I couldn’t park directly outside my house last night, I went out to… Read more »
I’ve been after this cargo net for ages. It’s a very useful net that serves a couple of functions: – I wasn’t willing to pay the £60+ that is generally demanded for LR003852. I think the price these things retail at is a bit unreasonable and £30 is closer to the mark. Anyhow I spotted on on eBay and managed to bag… Read more »
